Biography
I’m Federico Bellini, a PhD candidate at Politecnico di Milano working on floating offshore wind farm control. During my PhD, I developed a Simulink-based framework for yaw optimization aimed at maximizing wind farm power production. The controller is designed for real-time deployment and is ready for experimental validation in the large-scale wind tunnel facility at Politecnico di Milano. I am currently undertaking a six-month visiting period at TU Delft, where I am improving the closed-loop strategy by incorporating fatigue-load considerations and leveraging measurement-driven feedback from field data. My research focuses on bridging mid-fidelity simulation, control-oriented modeling, and practical experimental testing to enable life-aware, power-maximizing control of floating wind farms.Posters
