Biography

Max Heering started pursuing his masters degree Sustainable Energy Technology at Delft University of Technology in September 2024. His main profile was in Wind & Economics. For his degree he was able to write his thesis at RWE Offshore Wind within the Methods & Tools team. This thesis is focused on validating horizontal wind flow models through a method called cross-prediction. With this method and a dataset spreading across multiple sites and measurements, the thesis aims to validate the capability of 3 models to capture spatial variability of the wind speed in a site.
