PhD Candidate, TU Delft

Biography

Matteo Baricchio is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Delft University of Technology, collaborating with Youwind Renewables on the SUDOCO project. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Trieste and his Master's degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from TU Delft, graduating cum laude. Matteo's early research centered on photovoltaic technology. Currently, his focus has shifted to wind energy, where he is investigating the layout optimization and the control co-design of offshore wind farms. His work aims to enhance the performance of wind energy systems by addressing multiple objectives, such as energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness and environmental impact.
