Biography

Paul is a Senior Energy Yield Specialist at JERA Nex bp where he has worked, initially with bp, since 2023. He leads R&D activities in wind flow and turbine interaction modelling and its application to the company’s wind farm development portfolio. This role includes implementing and supporting the WRF simulation capabilities of the Energy Yield team, deployed on HPC. Since obtaining his PhD in Aerodynamics, Paul has 20 years of experience in wind resource assessment, initially at Garrad Hassan (now DNV) and then in a number of R&D, operational analysis and team management roles at SSE Renewables.
