Biography

Steve has worked in the renewable energy industry since 2013 after graduating with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Sustainability from the University of Warwick. He leads the BrightWind UK team and is a member of the PEL/88 committee contributing to the Digital Exchange Format component of the IEC 61400-15-2 Wind Energy Yield Assessment Standard.  His primary experience is in pre-construction wind resource measurements and wind farm energy production assessments. In addition he also gained experience in operational energy production assessments based on SCADA data, and wind turbine inspections.  Before working for BrightWind Steve spent 8 years working for DNV, where he was a senior engineer in the renewable energy analytics department. He has worked on both onshore and offshore wind energy projects totalling over 10 GW of capacity in Europe, Africa, America and Asia including offshore projects in Europe, America and Asia.
