Senior Scientist, TNO
Biography
Noud Werter has background in Aerospace Engineering. He did his PhD on Aeroelastic Modelling and Design of Aeroelastically Tailored and Morphing Wings in which he developed and validated a numerical framework for the optimization of composite aircraft wings. Currently he is a Senior Scientist at TNO in the department of Naval and Offshore Structures, where he is the knowledge lead on Offshore Renewable Energy Structures. He is involved in a range of projects involving academia, research institutes and industry focusing on the structural assessment and lifetime prediction of wind turbine blades combining numerical models and experiments. His main research interests are damage mechanics and fatigue of composites, development of structural digital twins, and structural dynamics.
