Biography

Stephan Vogel is an electrical engineer with a strong academic foundation and industry expertise in renewable energy and wind turbine technology. He holds a degree in Renewable Energy from HTW Berlin, a specialization in Wind Energy from the Technical University of Denmark, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the same institution. Stephan’s research and professional career have centred on enhancing the reliability and resilience of wind turbines. Currently serving as a Senior Design Engineer at Polytech, Stephan specializes in lightning protection systems (LPS) for wind turbines. His work focuses on designing advanced LPS solutions, developing condition monitoring systems for LPS, and conducting failure assessments to optimize turbine performance and safety.
