Biography

Erkan Yılmaz earned his bachelor's degree in 2013 from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Meteorological Engineering. In 2015, he completed an associate degree program in Electrical Energy Generation, Transmission, and Distribution at Anadolu University. As part of his master’s thesis, he studied at the Wind Energy Department of the Technical University of Denmark in 2015. He began his professional career as a meteorological engineer at an investment firm and later held various positions at different companies. In 2016, he completed his military service and started his Ph.D. studies in Atmospheric Sciences at Istanbul Technical University in 2017. During this time, he worked as a research fellow in the "New European Wind Atlas Project." In 2018, he joined Nordex as a Wind & Site Engineer, where he worked for five years. In 2023, he assumed the role of Senior Project Manager at SANY, where he continues to serve in this capacity.
