Biography

John Medley has been making measurements and analysing data for over 30 years. A Chartered Engineer with a Masters Degree in Mathematical Modelling, John worked in precision metrology and then radar signal processing before turning his attention to the use of Lidar in the wind industry in 2011. He’s currently Head of Data and Insights at ZX Lidars, representing them on the IEC Project Team that produced the 61400-50-3 standard for wind speed measurements using nacelle-mounted lidars.
