Biography

Dr. Joerg Winterfeldt has 25 years of experience in the wind industry.  Mr. Winterfeldt is an expert on wind resource assessment, wind farm planning, performance and optimization. Before joining ArcVera he served as Micrositing expert for German based developer Projekt GmbH and wind energy consultant Overspeed, researched wind and cyclones in the North-Atlantic in the GKSS research center, held Wind Resource Assessment, Micrositing, Project Management, Business Development and Product Strategy roles with two top tier OEMs, GE and Nordex.  Mr. Winterfeldt has been one of the experts representing Germany on the IEC 61400-15 standard (the standard that governs how the wind resource, energy yield and site suitability input conditions and the associated uncertainties are assessed and reported) since 2014. Winterfeldt holds a P.hD. in Meteorology from the University of Hamburg, as well as M.Sc. Degrees in both Engineering Science and Marine Environmental Sciences from the University of Oldenburg in Germany.
