Assistant Researcher - PhD, Natural Power
Biography
After graduating with an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (thermal engineering specialisation) at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, I was allowed to continue my work as a research assistant within the same institution. These years of research allowed my personal and professional development in multiple areas, namely scientific communication, atmospheric physics and flow modelling in complex terrain, the use and development mesoscale-coupled Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes Computational Fluid Dynamics codes, and data analysis and processing. These required expanding my skills in software development (Fortran, Python) with a focus on High-Performance Computing applications whose systems are typically Linux-based. Currently a Doctoral Candidate in the APTWind program researching wake modelling in the marine environment using advance coupled meso-microscale CFD modelling through Natural Power and FEUP..
