Biography

Dr Zia Tahir is currently Associate Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his BSc and MSc Mechanical Engineering degrees from University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Pakistan and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering degree from The University of Manchester, UK. He has 13 years of teaching experience at UET Lahore, Pakistan and five years of teaching experience at The University of Manchester, UK. He has two years postdoctoral research experience in Bioengineering (Biomechanics in Sports, Biodynamics of Human Body) at The University of Manchester, UK. He has served as Director Semester Cell at Department of Mechanical Engineering, UET Lahore, administering two undergraduate programs and five postgraduate programs. Dr Tahir’s current research involves the application of artificial intelligence in bioengineering, renewable energy, and structural mechanics. He has published over 60 research articles in international journals and conferences of contemporary relevance.
