Biography

Patrick Hoebeke is a wind energy expert with two decades of experience in the industry. With a background in electro-mechanical engineering and a Master in Renewable Energy, he started out as a wind energy consultant in 2005. He has played a key role in numerous wind energy projects around the world, covering most aspects of project development, including mast installation, data processing, wake and wind flow modelling, layout optimisation, turbine inspection and technical due diligence. After 8 years he joined 3E's research and development department. He has contributed extensively to a number of research projects including wind power forecasting and wind turbine SCADA data analysis. He is currently actively involved in the development and implementation of advanced sensor anomaly detection and early fault detection models to be incorporated into a wind turbine monitoring platform.
