Marcus Wiens has studied Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University and worked in his Master Thesis on "Model predictive Control for Wind Turbines". Since 2019 he has been working at Fraunhofer IWES on areas of control strategies for load reduction and observers of wind turbines. Currently, he is researching the development and application of digital twins in the wind energy sector.
