Session description

As the renewable energy sector matures, the need for comprehensive strategies to manage the end-of-life phase of wind turbines becomes increasingly crucial. This session will explore the development of roadmaps and standards for the decommissioning of wind turbines and recycling of rotor blades. By establishing clear guidelines and standards and stronger collaboration through roadmaps the industry can ensure a smooth transition for aging wind assets, support sustainable practices, provide a blueprint for the responsible handling of end-of-life turbines and create business models for recycling.
