Biography

Rob Gerits has been working for RijksWaterstaat Zee en Delta in the Netherlands and is involved in Marine Spatial Planning from the beginning. His main field of work over the last 5 years has been on international collaboration in Marine Spatial Planning with a focus on balancing ecology and offshore renewable developments on a sea basin level. He is co-chair in the MSP group from the North Seas Energy Collaboration (NSEC) and co lead in the OSPAR group on Offshore Renewable Energy Development.
Besides he is the Dutch Head of Delegation for the OSPAR Environment Impacts of Human Activities committee.
Rob Gerits studied Rural Spatial Planning at the Wageningen Univerity.
