Biography

Jacob Royle is a metocean expert with almost 20 years experience in the offshore wind industry. He specialises in helping offshore wind projects manage the interactions between their offshore assets and the physical marine environment. Jacob has worked on offshore wind projects around the world, at all stages from prospecting, preparation for auction, detailed design construction and operation. He is part of the 20 strong Ramboll metocean team, where day to day he is focussed on site prospecting and  making sure that the metocean input to foundation deign results in optimal design decisions. In previous projects he has worked to improve weather forecast quality and reduce weather risk for transport and installation which has yielded savings exceeding 10 million euros.
