Biography
Menno is working in wind industry since 2009. He has worked as a load engineer supporting the design of future onshore and offshore turbines by performing design load analysis with Bladed. Also, Menno has been one of the early developers of the DNV Cost of Energy tool Renewables.Architect. Since 2017 Menno has worked as a main developer of the aerodynamic kernels of load simulation tool Bladed implementing BEM-based and lifting line based models. Since 2019 Menno has worked at General Electric as a conceptual blade design engineer delivering initial structural and aerodynamic designs of future blades to internal and 3rd party customers. Since 2024 Menno has returned to DNV as Principal Engineer focusing o n wind turbine lifetime extension and technical due diligence.Posters
