Biography

Edoardo Pasta is the co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of MESPAC, a startup specialising in technologies for offshore renewable energy. MESPAC leverages AI models based on satellite data to enable installation and monitoring of offshore wind farms. Edoardo earned his PhD in 2024 at the MOREnergy Lab of Politecnico di Torino, Italy. His thesis focused on data-driven modelling and control of offshore renewable energy devices. For his research, he received the Quality Award, recognising the best PhDs at Politecnico di Torino, and the Best Paper Award at the IFAC CAMS 2022. In addition to his role at MESPAC, Edoardo is currently Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Torino and has served as Lecturer at TTPU University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Previously, he was a Visiting Researcher at several international institutions, including San Diego State University (US), Centre for Ocean Energy Research (Ireland), Aalborg University (Denmark), and Oregon State University (US).
