Session description

The wind industry commits to re-use, recover or recycle 100% of the decommissioned blades by 2025. But does Europe have the right regulatory framework in place to deliver on these commitments. In this session we will discover the opportunities and challenges around the management of ‘waste’ from decommissioned turbines. We will discuss incentives for sustainable waste management, current legal obligations, and project a path forward towards a harmonised regulatory framework.
