Consultant Power Systems Technology and Innovation Working Group Wind Industry, VDMA

Biography

Haras Najib is the Technology and Innovation Officer at the VDMA's Power Systems Association. He is also responsible for the Wind Industry Working Group in the VDMA, in which the entire value chain of the wind industry is organised. After studying at the Technical University of Darmstadt, the industrial engineer for electrical engineering started his career as a consultant in the field of grid integration for renewable energies before joining the VDMA in 2017.

In addition to representing the interests of the plant engineering sector in energy policy, his core topics are energy research and supply chain issues. In recent years, his focus has been on the market and technology potential of the wind industry, as well as sustainability and recycling. As part of his work, he represents the association in various national and international committees, including WindEurope.
