Environmental Impacts: Developing Wind Farms In Harmony With Nature

This session explores how wind farm development can help preserve biodiversity and highlight the importance of collaboration between the wind energy industry and nature NGOs.

We present the new Offshore Coalition, combining NGOs, wind farm and grid developers to support a comprehensive and collaborative planning approach for offshore wind development. And we look at new guideline documents from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the European Commission on mitigating impacts on biodiversity, both onshore and offshore.
