What stops us from wider implementation of time series calculations as opposed to frequency based?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Topic 2: reducing uncertainty in measurements using LiDARs<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>LiDAR and site suitability? TI measurements with LIDARs.<br \/>\n\u2022 Shear adjustment for measurements campaigns including short masts and LIDARs?<\/li>\n<li>Acceptance, validation, correction strategies.<br \/>\n\u2022 Do we need to calibrate LiDARs against masts?<\/li>\n<li>Applications of scanning LiDARs : how can the wind industry best benefit from this technology?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Topic 3: improving simulations and modelling with regards to levels of uncertainty<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>How to set a modelling hierarchy based on Uncertainty Quantification?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Topic 4: forecasting<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>What are the barriers to improving the accuracy of forecasts?<\/li>\n<li>Do upwind wind speed measurements improve accuracy?<\/li>\n<li>For power trading we need to know the demand, where is the industry?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Topic 5: wakes<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Can wake steering improve production?<\/li>\n<li>Do we need to include blockage effects due to closely spaced turbines?<\/li>\n<li>Are turbines with large rotors on short towers under performing?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>General Abstracts requirements &#8211; for all topics<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Innovative content:<\/strong> abstracts should contain new work, not yet published<\/li>\n<li><strong>No commercial content please:<\/strong> overtly commercial abstracts will receive low ratings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contribution to industry knowledge:<\/strong> abstracts should strive to present data or results that can contribute to bringing the industry forward.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>correct topic must be selected<\/strong> to ensure correct scoring. The content of the abstract must be topic-related. It is the responsibility of the submitter to ensure that abstracts are submitted under the correct topic.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Abstract format: plain text<\/strong> (no tables, graphs, charts or images) around 500 words.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The call for abstracts is now closed.
