{"id":138,"date":"2023-03-28T13:36:18","date_gmt":"2023-03-28T11:36:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/tech2023\/programme\/presenters-dashboard\/are-you-presenting-a-poster\/"},"modified":"2023-05-23T14:45:01","modified_gmt":"2023-05-23T12:45:01","slug":"are-you-presenting-a-poster","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/tech2023\/programme\/presenters-dashboard\/are-you-presenting-a-poster\/","title":{"rendered":"Are you presenting a poster?"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"inner\">\r\n<h2 id=\"about-the-poster-program\">About the poster programme<\/h2>\r\n<h3>What is a poster?<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>If your abstract was selected for a poster, <strong>you must create a poster file and an accompanying 3-minutes recorded presentation<\/strong> based on your submitted abstract.<\/li>\r\n  <li>Posters are displayed in a dedicated poster area and are available for <!---conference---> delegates <!---and exhibition visitors---> to view throughout the event. <\/li>\r\n  <!---<li>There are daily dedicated poster viewing moments listed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/annual2022\/conference\/programme\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">event programme<\/a>. <\/li>--->\r\n   <li>We recommend that you are present at your poster during the breaks as this is the moment to answer questions from delegates.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<h3>Poster pitches<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>A couple of posters will be presented during dedicated &#8220;Poster Pitch&#8221; moments.<\/li>\r\n  <li>The abstracts for the poster pitches are selected by the Programme Committee.<\/li>\r\n  <li>The selected abstracts will be informed by the conference secretariat.<\/li>\r\n  <li>Per &#8220;Poster Pitch&#8221; moment, the selected poster presenters will give a 3-minute pitch about their work.<\/li>\r\n <\/ul>\r\n\r\n<!---\r\n<h3>2. Poster award ceremony<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>A Poster Committee (including members of the European Academy of Wind Energy and members of the Conference Programme Committee) will select the highest quality posters.<\/li>\r\n  <li>The Committee will base their decision on the best combination of clear presentation and innovative content. <\/li>\r\n  <li>The winners are announced during the Poster Awards Ceremony. They will receive a complimentary full pass for the next WindEurope Conference. <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n--->\r\n<!---\r\n<h3>3. Non-scientific paper<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>As a poster presenter, you can also create a non-scientific paper in addition to your presentation\/poster. This paper will be included in the online conference proceedings of the event. See <a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/annual2022\/conference\/speakers-dashboard\/are-you-submitting-a-paper\/\">here <\/a>for guidelines.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n--->\r\n<h2 id=\"about-your-poster\">About your poster<\/h2>\r\n<p> If you have not submitted your poster by the deadline, we will automatically cancel your poster. <b>It is not possible for you to bring your poster with you onsite.<\/b><\/p>\r\n<h3 id=\"templates\">1. Poster templates<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>It is <b>mandatory to use the official WindEurope poster templates.<\/b> We do not accept any other format. Download <a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/tech2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/conference\/TECH2023_POSTER-TEMPLATES.zip\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>here<\/strong> <\/a> the templates. <b>Templates can only be changed as shown <a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/tech2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/conference\/WindEurope_what-can%28not%29-be-changed-poster-templates.jpg\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/b><\/a>.<\/li>\r\n\r\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/tech2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/conference\/TECH2023_POSTER-TEMPLATES.zip\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"button\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Poster templates<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n  <li>Poster number (PO.XXX)\r\n    <ul>\r\n      <li>The conference team assigns a poster number to each poster. We will then send you your unique poster number by email. This number is different from your abstract submission number. Before submitting your files, make sure to include your poster number in your poster as indicated in the template.<\/li>\r\n    <\/ul>\r\n  <\/li>\r\n  <li>QR Codes\r\n    <ul>\r\n      <li>The conference team creates two QR codes for each poster and will insert them in your poster file. The QR codes allow the conference delegates to download:\r\n        <ul>\r\n          <li>Your poster in PDF <\/li>\r\n          <li>Your recorded poster presentation<\/li>\r\n        <\/ul>\r\n      <\/li>\r\n    <\/ul>\r\n  <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>2. Poster recording<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>As a poster presenter, we require that you record a 3-minutes presentation. <strong>Posters without a recording will be considered as incomplete.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n  <li>You must submit the recording at the same time as the poster file. <\/li>\r\n  <li>Recordings will be downloadable through a QR code (created and added by the conference team).<\/li>\r\n  <li>See the poster recording guidelines <b><a href=\"..\/recommendations#recording-recommendations\">here<\/a><\/b>.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>3. Submitting your poster and recording<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>You must submit your poster files as PowerPoint files through the <a href=\"https:\/\/proceedings.windeurope.org\/tech2023\/portal\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">presenters&#8217; portal<\/a>. <\/li>\r\n  <li>Recordings must be submitted as separate files from the poster via WeTransfer or a similar tool to techworkshops@windeurope.org \u2013<strong> do not keep your recording included in your poster file. Information on how to save your recording as a separate media file is explained <a href=\"..\/recommendations#recording-recommendations\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2 id=\"practical-info\">Practical Information<\/h2>\r\n<h3>1. Poster printing<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Everyone is required to use WindEurope&rsquo;s free poster printing and mounting service:\r\n    <ul>\r\n      <li>The printed posters will measure 84.1cm (width) x 118.9cm (height) (A0)<\/li>\r\n      <li>WindEurope converts the PowerPoint files to print-ready PDFs. No exceptions are made. <\/li>\r\n    <\/ul>\r\n  <\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>2. Mounting and dismantling of posters <\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Posters are displayed on boards for the whole duration of the event.<\/li>\r\n  <li>Our team will mount all posters before the event begins.<\/li>\r\n  <li>You can remove your poster as of 14:30 on Friday, 2 June only. <!---A limited number of cardboard tubes to transport your poster will be available in the poster area on a first-come, first-served basis.---> <\/li>\r\n\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<!---\r\n<h3>3. Hand-outs<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li>Poster presenters can bring hand-outs to supplement their poster. <\/li>\r\n  <li>We will provide hand-out racks throughout the poster area if you have notified us.
