WindEurope and RenewableUK are jointly organising the second edition of the “Wind Farm and Aviation” workshop. The aim of the workshop is to share experience and good practices on the co-existence of aviation and wind farms.
A significant number of wind farms face objections from aviation stakeholders. By sharing best practice, we would like to showcase and to share how successful solutions have been found through proper planning, transparency and, when necessary, strategies and technology.

The specific issues we would like to cover at the workshop are:

  • Best practice on latest available technology for radar and lighting,
  • Understanding the different Member State requirements and analyse the potential for harmonisation to reduce project costs
  • Creating well-established and transparent mitigation processes to deal with aviation objections with the aim of improving the wind farm consenting processes
