Statkraft is Europe\u2019s largest generator of renewable energy, and a global company in energy market operations. Owned by the Norwegian state, we have been making clean energy possible since 1895.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

So, what do we do?<\/h2>\r\n

Our primary activities are developing and operating renewable energy assets and the buying and selling of energy. 100% of our growth is invested in renewables. In addition, we develop third-party power plants and market their power output. For our customers, we offer a range of energy solutions\u2014both physically and financially that can be tailored to specific needs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Integrating sustainable standards practically and culturally is a cornerstone of who we are and how we work. This commitment is set out in our sustainability strategy but is lived and actioned daily in examples such as our 100% recycling ambition at our Montes de Cierzo repowering site in Spain, collaborations with barn owl conservationists in Wales, and revegetation of land at a hydropower site in Norway. Equally, while our core businesses play a vital role in the transition from high-emission fossil fuels to renewables, we are proud that our own emission intensity is significantly below that of the power sector.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
