Session date and timing<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n  <ul>\r\n   <li><!-- Bookmark the <a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/annual2026\/conference\/programme\/\">online programme<\/a> for the date and exact timing of your session. -->You can log on to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/annual2026\/conference\/portal\/\" target=\"_blank\">speakers&#8217; portal<\/a><\/strong> to find the date and timing of your session. <strong>Further information will be provided in due course<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n  <\/ul>\r\n\r\n  <h2 id=\"session-prep-call\"><strong>3. Session preparation calls<\/strong>\r\n  <\/h2>\r\n  <ul>\r\n    <li>Each session is led by one or two session chair(s). <\/li>\r\n    <li>The chair &amp; WindEurope will schedule a session prep call to:\r\n       <ul>\r\n       <li>Discuss the session and the content of the presentations. <\/li>\r\n       <li>For presentations: agree on the title of your presentation with the session chair. If the presentation is based on an abstract, the title of the presentation will by default that of the abstract. If the title changes, inform the conference team by email (conference@windeurope.org)<\/li>\r\n       <li>Discuss and agree on the topics to be discussed during the session. <\/li>\r\n       <li>Determine the running order of the presentations and\/or questions to be discussed.<\/li>\r\n       <li>Address any other relevant topics.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>\r\n       <\/ul>\r\n  <h2 id=\"ppt-requirements\"><strong>4. PowerPoint (PPT) requirements <\/strong>\r\n  <\/h2> \r\n  \r\n<p>Depending on the format of the session, you might be asked to prepare a PowerPoint presentation. For abstract submitters selected to present in a technical and scientific session, preparing a PowerPoint presentation is mandatory.<p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"color:red;\">Presenters shortlisted for a technical and scientific session are required to submit a first draft of their presentation by<strong> 3 December 2025<\/strong>. The draft should be a close as possible to a final presentation. Drafts will be reviewed by session chairs before the oral presentation slot is confirmed.<p>\r\n\r\n<p>Practical requirements for PowerPoint presentations:<p>\r\n\r\n    <li>Check <a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/annual2026\/conference\/presenters-dashboard\/recommendations\/#presentation-recommendations\">here<\/a> for tips and tricks when creating your slides.<\/li>\r\n    <li>Submit your presentation file in PowerPoint <strong>format: 16:9. <\/strong><\/li>\r\n    <li>Do not include live links to the internet but instead, use screenshots. <\/li>\r\n    <li>If your PPT contains audio, video, or unusual files, please inform the conference team by email (<a href=\"mailto:conference@windeurope.org\">conference@windeurope.org<\/a>) in advance so we can make the necessary technical arrangements. <\/li>\r\n     <li>Upload your slides to the <a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/annual2026\/conference\/portal\">presenters&#8217; portal<\/a> (Deadline: 6 April 2026)<\/li>\r\n    <li><strong>Back-up copy<\/strong>: bring a copy of your presentation to the event venue on a USB memory stick.<\/li>\r\n  <\/ul>\r\n\r\n<!-- <h2><strong>5. Posters<\/strong>\r\n  <\/h2>\r\n    <p>If you are preparing a poster in addition to your presentation, we strongly suggest to \r\n    <ul>\r\n         <li>mention your poster number in your presentation slides<\/li>\r\n         <li>mention your presentation in your poster<\/li>\r\n    <\/ul> -->\r\n\r\n<p><h2 id=\"onsite-briefing-session\">5. Onsite briefing<\/h2><p>\r\n<p>An onsite pre-session briefing will be organised before each session and is mandatory for all speakers and chairs to attend. \r\nUnless specified otherwise, it will start <strong>30 min before the session<\/strong> and will take place in the <strong>speaker room<\/strong>. It\u2019s an opportunity to:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n    \t<li>meet your fellow speakers and chair before the session starts;    <\/li>\r\n\t<li>discuss any outstanding points;<\/li>\r\n    \t<li>make fellow speakers &#038; conference team aware if any changes were made in your presentation;<\/li>\r\n    \t<li>recap on stage arrangements and logistics.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>After the briefing, the WindEurope conference team will escort speakers to the session room to get equipped with microphones. <\/p>\r\n  \r\n<h2 id=\"presenting-during-the-event\"><strong>6. Presenting during the event<\/strong>:\r\n  <\/h2>\r\n<p><strong>For sessions taking place in the conference auditoria:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n  <ul>\r\n    <li>All presentations will be managed from a central system and remotely loaded to a laptop in the session room.<\/li>\r\n    <li>Only single projection will be available during your session. <\/li>\r\n    <li>You will be able to control your slides with a clicker, a mouse or the presentation laptop\u2019s keyboard. <\/li>\r\n    <li>For changes to your presentation, bring your new presentation on a USB stick to the speakers\u2019 room.  <!---Ensure that your new presentation is uploaded to the system and the old version deleted.---><\/li>\r\n  <\/ul>\r\n<strong>For sessions taking place on the Markets Theatre, the Powering the Future Stage or for roundtables taking place in smaller rooms:<\/strong>\r\n <ul> \r\n<li>All presentations will be managed from a laptop in the session room.<\/li>\r\n<li>Only single projection will be available during your session. <\/li>\r\n<li>You will be able to control your slides with a clicker or the presentation laptop\u2019s keyboard.<\/li>\r\n<li>For changes to your presentation, bring your new presentation on a USB stick to the AV desk of the stage and a WindEurope staff member will assist you.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n <p> <h2 id=\"papers\"><strong>7. Do I need to submit a paper? <\/strong><p>\r\n  <\/h2>\r\n \r\n\r\n    <li><strong>Science &amp; Research papers<\/strong> \r\n      <ul>\r\n        <li> <p><strong>Eligibility of scientific paper publications<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>If you specifically applied for this when submitting your abstract, your abstract may be selected by the European Academy of Wind Energy for publication in a dedicated open access volume of the IOP Journal of Physics: Conference Serie. Selected abstracts will be invited to submit a paper based on their abstract.  Selected papers will be published depending on the peer-review outcome. See <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/windeurope.org\/annual2026\/conference\/presenters-dashboard\/are-you-submitting-a-paper\/#scientific\">here<\/a><\/strong> for guidelines.<\/p> \r\n\r\n<p style=\"color:red;\"><strong>Selected abstracts eligible for a scientific publication will be contacted individually by the WindEurope Conference Secretariat by 28 November 2025.<\/strong><\/p> <\/li>\r\n      <\/ul>\r\n    <\/li>\r\n    <li><strong>Non-scientific \/ industry papers <\/strong>\r\n      <ul>\r\n        <li>Confirmed speakers and poster presenters who did not apply for a scientific publication or were not selected for one can optionally produce a full paper in addition to the presentation. This will not be peer-reviewed but be included in the online conference proceedings for the event.
