This side event will explore why nature-inclusive innovation is essential for floating offshore wind infrastructure<\/strong>. An expert panel bringing together NGOs, academia, and wind developers will discuss the opportunities and barriers to innovation in this field and examine how solutions can be supported and scaled up.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The event will also feature lightning talks<\/strong> showcasing nature-inclusive concepts developed by university students and SMEs from across Europe. These concepts include both Nature-Inclusive Designs (NIDs) and mitigation measures. Presenters will come from the pool of applicants from the 2025 Innovation Challenge Series<\/em>, organised as part of the Horizon Europe project NiD4OCEAN<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The session will conclude with a networking<\/strong> opportunity and a poster exhibition showcasing the concepts presented during the lightning talks. This will give participants the chance to ask questions and engage directly with the innovators behind the designs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n
