When it comes to wind, Spain is one of Europe’s leading lights<\/h2>\r\n

In onshore wind, they’re one of the most important countries on the continent with 27 GW of installed capacity. And their Offshore Wind Roadmap aims to build up to 3 GW of floating wind by 2030. Today the industry employs 28,000 people in Spain and adds \u20ac3bn to its GDP. But their ambitions for wind continue to grow, and wind is at the heart of their long-term energy strategy.<\/p>\r\n

And Bilbao is the jewel in Spain’s renewable crown<\/h2>\r\n

It’s the headquarters for two of Europe’s renewable energy leaders. Meanwhile the Basque Country aims to become a major offshore energy hub in the years ahead. When it comes to the energy transition, Bilbao’s future looks bright indeed! All the more reason why we’re thrilled to be heading back to Bilbao for WindEurope’s Annual Event 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

A great experience for all in Bilbao<\/h2>\r\n

From 20-22 March<\/strong>, WindEurope’s annual on- and offshore wind energy event headed to Bilbao for a three-day conference and exhibition. We welcomed 12,000+ attendees<\/strong> to join us for a look at the shape of European wind energy today. There were dozens of conference sessions<\/strong>, hundreds of speakers<\/strong>, and 500+ exhibitors<\/strong> from the whole value chain looking to showcase their innovations and seal new deals. We had social events across the event for you to reach out to new colleagues and educational sessions showing you all the ins and outs of wind energy. And plenty of time in between it all to sample all the gastronomic and architectural delights Bilbao has to offer!<\/p>\r\n
