The objective of this workshop is to consider several questions around price-based auctions for seabed leases and to assess if they are here to stay and to become the norm. What can recent auction results tell us about the offshore wind market? How does competitive lease allocation affect project economics? Is there an optimal auction design? How do seabed lease auctions interact with other policy processes, such as revenue support auctions? <\/p>\r\n

The workshop will contain a first part, in which we present facts & figures around seabed auctions, and a second part in which industry experts, researchers and policymakers enter a dialogue to discuss the above-mentioned questions. <\/p>\r\n

Participation in the event itself is free, though physical participation requires an exhibition or an event pass to the WindEurope Electric City 2021. We will end the workshop with a light lunch. <\/p>\r\n
