Biography

Dr. JHA (Jaap) van der Woude has worked for PPG Industries Inc. for 32 years in leading technical and manufacturing functions globally. He authored a broad variety of conference papers, articles on sustainability of glass, fiber glass and composites, patents and contributions to scientific books He has been actively involved in many business, technical and sustainability interests through branche organizations, which he continued with AVK and especially EuCIA, European Composites Industry Association, after his retirement. As chairman of the Sustainability Committee of EuCIA his work concentrates on life cycle aspects of composites and recycling scenarios.
